I am a firm believer that panic is what the mass media thrives on to get their messages across and truthfully, I find this no different. Yes, the coronavirus is serious and should be handled with the respect we handle all serious medical threats. But we should also keep in mind that it is our societal duty to be informed and not rely on numbers to scare us.
People have died, people are sick, this is contagious. Still, we can work on our self-care, allow others as well as ourselves to BUY cleaning and health products such as sanitizer, toilet paper, and disinfectant. Hording these products do not protect you, but allow more to get sick and spread.
Be safe, cautious, alert, but DO NOT PANIC. We will get through this and build ourselves back.
